Error “Your boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning scheme but this machine cannot boot using GPT“

Error ini muncul ketika saya saat itu ingin melakukan install ulang redhat 5.5 custom di mesin yang sebelumnya sudah terinstall windows server 2008 enterprise. Sudah coba hapus partisi pakai cd windowsnya, atau format langsung dari cd linuxnya tapi tetap aja selalu muncul error "Your boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning scheme but this machine cannot boot using GPT" saat ingin installasi.

Solusi :

1. Ketika pesan error itu muncul, tekan Ctrl+Alt+F2

2. Ketik ini: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1 lalu Enter

3. Ketik reboot lalu Enter

Setelah restart, kalau ada pop up yang bilang CentOS mendeteksi ada GPT, selalu pilih No. Setelah itu, partisi hard disk dan instalasi bisa dilanjutkan dengan lancar.
